A Lot Has Been Happening

06/05/2026, New York City
Hello,
Spring has been full. The kind of full that only makes sense looking back at it — when you realize that what felt like a lot of different things happening at once was actually one continuous thread. Work, and the life that feeds it.
Here is where I have been.

ON THE WALL IN CHELSEA

I am thrilled to share that I am part of a group exhibition opening June 12 at the Leonovich Gallery in Chelsea, New York — presented by NAWA, the National Association of Women Artists.
If you are in the city, I would love for you to see the work in person. There is something about standing in front of a painting that no screen can replicate. The show opens the same day this newsletter lands in your inbox — so consider this your first invitation.

ART WEEK IN NEW YORK

I spent time at Art Week in New York this spring — moving through galleries, taking in work from artists I admire and artists I had never encountered before. These trips do something specific to me. They recalibrate what I am reaching for in the studio. I came home with a full notebook and a clear head.

BRIMFIELD

I made my way to the Brimfield Antique Show in Massachusetts — one of those places where beauty and history and pure visual chaos coexist in the best possible way. I went looking for inspiration and objects, and I found both. Brimfield always gives me something I did not know I needed.

COMMISSIONS AND A VERY SPECIAL INVITATION

Several private commissions came to completion this spring — work made specifically for collectors who trusted me with their walls and their vision. There is a particular satisfaction in that kind of collaboration, and I am grateful for every one of them.
And then something I did not expect:I was invited by Bond & Grace to contribute paintings to an art book centered on Pride & Prejudice. Three of my abstract works were selected for the project. To have my paintings live alongside that story — in a book — is the kind of thing I will not forget.

BRINGING MY ART INTO HAVE SOME FUN TODAY

Something I have been working toward: bringing my paintings more fully into the Have Some Fun Today world. HSFT has always been a place for joy, color, and making — and my fine art belongs in that conversation too. You will be seeing more of this crossover. It feels right.

COMING JUNE 20: THE SUMMER STUDIO

I am in the middle of preparations for something I am genuinely excited about. On June 20, I am opening my home and studio for a private event — a first look at works available through a Summer Studio Sale running through Labor Day.
More details arrive in your inbox on June 12. For now: mark the date and know that private summer pricing will be available exclusively to people in this community.

LATELY, I’VE BEEN THINKING…

“Thank you for following along. The best part of making work is knowing that some of you are genuinely paying attention to it.”
Until next time,
