How Seeing New Art Makes Me a Better Artist

10/23/2025, New York City
There’s something electric about walking into a gallery opening.
The energy, the newness, the conversations — the courage on the walls. I find myself looking not just at the art, but at the thinking behind it. How another artist approached space, risk, restraint, or color.

Every time I see new work in person, I come back to my studio different. It’s likecross-training for creativity — seeing how other artists interpret the worldsharpens how I interpret my own.
When I’m stuckor repeating myself, a gallery visit reminds me: there’s always another way tosee, another way to begin.

If you’ve ever wanted to own one of my pieces — or gift one — now’s the perfect time.
The Small Art Sale is an amazing way to help someone you love start collecting art for their home. Or maybe you’ve been eyeing one of my large works — this is your chance to bring that same energy into your home or office in a smaller scale.

Color Field on Paper — This Saturday!

Word travels fast… our next art workshop is already three times fuller than the first one, and I couldn’t be more excited.
We’ll be diving into Color Field painting — a way of working that’s all about emotion through color, simplicity, and presence. Think: large, flowing areas of color that pull you in and make you feel something.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about connection.
And yes, you can still join us virtually from wherever you are.
Whether you’re a painter, a beginner, or just craving a creative recharge — grab your coffee, clear a little space, and spend two hours with us on Saturday making something that’s uniquely yours.
Join the Virtual Workshop here.
Saturday, October 25th (11 – 1pm)
2 hours of guided creative play. $80 per person.

LATELY, I’VE BEEN THINKING…

“When you make time for art — even for a few hours — it has a way of making everything else in life a little more beautiful.”

Until next time,
